Grade 9 is the beginning of the four-year cycle that leads to our external university entrance qualifications and graduation with a High School Diploma. In grades 10, 11 and 12, students are qualified to sit for and can choose to take British International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) and/or the SAT, ACT exams, the American Advanced Placements® (AP®) exams, as well as U.A.E. national exams. U.S. High School Diploma
SIS-Aljada is accredited by: Accreditation International, Middle States Association of Colleges and Schools, and the National Council for Private Schools Association (NCPSA). We are also a U.S. State Department approved school, which means that the SIS-Aljada High School Diploma is recognized by colleges and universities in the U.S. as well as other countries worldwide.
British IGCSE
At SIS-Aljada, we offer our students in grades 10 and 11 the opportunity to take International General Certificate of Secondary Education (IGCSE) examinations. These exams are offered by Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in the U.K.
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) is reputed to be the world’s largest provider of international qualifications for students aged 14 to 19. IGCSEs are recognized by leading universities and employers worldwide and are seen as an international passport to progression and success.
Advanced Placement® (AP®) Program
The AP® program is another option available to our students. The AP® is offered by The College Board in the U.S. and is taken by almost 2.5 million students worldwide. AP® exams are usually comparable to first-year college courses worldwide.
